In many African countries, the youth are seen as a disinterested party in governance processes. Although this view is correct, it is not in the interest of the youth to stand at bay and lament about the challenges they face. Rather, the nonchalant is borne out of massive lip service accorded to youth and unmet promises and pledges made by public officials and politicians, especially during elections.
