Winnie N. Nguyu

Winnie N. Nguyu is the Ag. Principal Librarian at the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA). She previously worked as a Librarian at Africa Institute for Capacity Development (AICAD), Riara group of schools as a Librarian  and as an Assistant librarian at Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI). Winnie holds a masters of Arts (MA) in Communication Studies from University of Nairobi and has numerous publications in the field of knowledge management.

 

Winnie is an ISO certified internal auditor, an External Peer Reviewer at Commission for University Education (CUE), an Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Digital Libraries and Knowledge Management in India, and a board member of Pangani Girls’ School and serves in numerous committees in her profession capacity.

 

At KIPPRA, Winnie is in charge of the institute’s resource center, support relevant policy research programs, and dissemination of public policy research outputs. She pioneered the development, rolling out and continuous management of the first ever public policy repository in Kenya. KIPPRA Public Policy Repository (PPR) provides its stakeholders with a One Stop Shop for National and County Government policy documents. The goal of the repository is to strengthen the research-to-policy linkage, through availing to both internal and external customers, an open access platform for all the national policies organized by sectors for ease of retrieval.The PPR is aimed at contributing to the achievement of national development goals in the country.
